Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-6th students as an Occupational Therapist in a thriving educational environment near Millsboro, DE. This contract role is designed for the 2026-2027 school year, starting at the end of August and continuing through the end of the academic year. This part-time position offers a blend of direct student services and collaborative engagement, providing valuable support to a growing caseload. As an integral member of the school community, you'll dedicate two full days each week to hands-on interventions with students, and reserve a half-day for meetings and essential testing. This balanced schedule is ideal for professionals seeking meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility. In-person services are preferred for now, but there may be opportunities for virtual work as the year progresses.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active DE Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L preferred, but COTA candidates will be considered) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings, ideally with K-6th grade Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document progress Organizational skills to manage caseload growth and meeting schedules Open to adapting between in-person and potential virtual service models
Responsibilities:
