Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving K-6th grade students as an Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. Enjoy a balanced part-time schedule, working a total of two and one-half days per week—dedicated to making a meaningful difference in a vibrant school setting near Millsboro, DE.
This role is thoughtfully structured:
you'll work two full days providing direct services to students, with an additional half day reserved for collaborative meetings and essential student testing. Bring your skills and compassion to a supportive environment where every day brings the chance to foster new skills and growth in young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license issued in Delaware Prior experience working with K-6th grade students in school-based settings preferred Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services tailored to student IEP goals Conduct assessments and evaluations for referred students Document services, progress notes, and maintain accurate records Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and consultation with teams during the dedicated half day Provide resources, strategies, and interventions that enhance student participation and engagement in daily activities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success
