Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting part-time opportunity available for an Occupational Therapy professional eager to support students in a dynamic K-6 environment for the 2026-2027 school year! This contract position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about making an impact with a growing caseload, providing much-needed services to students from the start of the school year through its end. The role consists of 2 full days dedicated to hands-on therapy and direct services, saving an additional half-day for essential meetings and student testing needs each week.
Flexibility is a key feature:
while the role begins as an in-person position, there is potential to transition to virtual delivery by August if needed.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in Delaware preferred; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) also considered Experience supporting K-6th grade populations, ideally in a school-based setting Strong collaboration, time management, and communication skills Ability to effectively balance direct student contact with testing and team meetings Availability to work 2.5 days per week on a consistent basis
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions to K-6 students aligned with IEPs and school goals Participate in student evaluations, testing, and multidisciplinary meetings Contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring Communicate with staff, parents, and administrators to ensure comprehensive student care Adapt plans and strategies for in-person or virtual service models, as needed If you envision yourself guiding young learners toward greater independence and academic success—while experiencing the flexibility of part-time work—this position could be the perfect fit!
