We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a team in Seaford, DE for a 14-week contract starting ASAP. You'll work a regular daytime schedule (08:00 AM-04:30 PM) helping patients regain independence and return to meaningful daily activities.
Compensation is:
Travel:
$1,876/35-hours;
Local:
$1,848/35-hours. What we need from you A valid, active Occupational Therapy state license. CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (AED included). What you'll be doing Evaluate patients' physical and cognitive abilities as well as their home or work environments to spot limitations and set realistic goals. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve daily living skills and boost independence. Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Teach and practice everyday tasks with patients to reinforce skills. Educate patients and families on condition management and strategies to maintain independence. Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. Keep accurate records, including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge plans. Support patients' transitions back to their communities and workplaces. Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in professional development.
