Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role serving K-6 students for the 2026-2027 school year! A passionate Occupational Therapist is needed on a part-time contract basis, beginning at the end of August and continuing through the end of the academic year. You'll provide essential support two full days per week, reserving a half day for meetings and evaluations—an ideal balance for focused, meaningful engagement. As a key provider within a dynamic and supportive environment, you'll work directly with a growing caseload, providing intervention and consultation to help young learners thrive in their daily school routines. This is an in-person position initially, with the potential to transition to virtual services by August if needed. While an OT is preferred, outstanding Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants will also be considered.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist (OT) license (or eligibility); COTA candidates will be considered Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based OT settings Skilled in assessment, intervention planning, and documentation for K-6 students Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and special education teams Comfortable providing both direct and consultative services Flexible approach to service delivery (in-person, with possible transition to virtual)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct OT services to K-6 students two days per week Attend meetings, complete testing, and maintain documentation during the assigned half day Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Contribute expertise in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Support growth of students' functional and academic skills
