Job Description
Category Schools - Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist. This role is based on-site in the dynamic Oviedo and Sanford area, providing specialized services to students needing orientation and mobility evaluations in a school setting. Interviews are scheduled promptly for April 14, 2026, with an ASAP start and a 3-week commitment through May 25, 2026. You'll work 15-20 hours per week, seeing three students daily across three days each week. Exact schools will be assigned closer to your start date. This is an excellent short-term assignment for a travel professional seeking valuable experience and the chance to make a significant impact with a flexible schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
Current national Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M) license Vision certification required Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred Comfortable conducting evaluations as the primary job focus Valid driver's license Able to provide physical documentation, including professional license (not web printout), social security card, Form 1403 for fingerprinting, fingerprinting receipt from Field Print, demographic form, and completed I9 Willingness to complete necessary credentialing promptly Previous school-based O&M experience is a plusKey Responsibilities:
