Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' growth as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year in a vibrant learning environment near Crescent City, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping children and adolescents reach their full potential through individualized therapy and collaborative support.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills Ability to develop and implement individualized educational and therapeutic plans
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths in motor function, sensory integration, and activities of daily living Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to develop and deliver effective IEP-driven interventions Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, per IEP requirements Monitor progress and adjust strategies to ensure students are making measurable gains Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with school and legal standards Offer consultation and training to school staff on sensory-motor strategies and adaptive equipment
