Job Description

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida. This full-time position offers a stable, rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The OT will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support patients recovering from injury, managing chronic conditions, or striving to improve daily living skills and independence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable, meaningful goals. Provide therapeutic interventions to restore function and support independence in activities of daily living (ADLs). Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home programs, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices. Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Florida OT license or eligibility for licensure. CPR certification (preferred). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Full-time position with consistent, predictable scheduling (40 hours per week). Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
