Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Emerald Nursing. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping patients of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life through personalized therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will support individuals across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and post-acute care environments. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by applying your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to promote health and well-being. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs. Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families on strategies to manage conditions and enhance daily living activities. Document patient progress accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. Adapt therapy techniques based on patient response and evolving clinical guidelines. Support occupational health initiatives by promoting safety practices and ergonomic assessments within the facility. Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology essential for accurate assessment and intervention planning. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and post-acute care settings. Familiarity with occupational health principles and sub-acute care environments is highly desirable. Proven ability to develop effective treatment plans for patients recovering from injury or illness across various care settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients, families, and team members about therapy goals and progress. Join us in transforming lives through compassionate care! Pay:
$48.00 - $50.00 per hour
