Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students and staff throughout the upcoming school year as an Occupational Therapist within a welcoming district near Homosassa, FL. This full-time contract position (8-hour days) covers the 2026/2027 academic year, beginning the first week of August and concluding at the end of May. You'll work district-wide, with thoughtful scheduling to keep school sites conveniently grouped when possible. Experience in school-based OT, healthcare, and home health settings will serve you well, and the role requires supervision of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering student success across multiple campuses.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida Previous experience in schools, home health, or healthcare settings as an OT Skilled in collaborating with teachers, administration, and families Comfortable supervising and supporting a COTA Strong communication and classroom-appropriate intervention strategies Flexibility to travel throughout the districtResponsibilities:
Evaluate and provide individualized occupational therapy services to students Develop therapeutic goals and document progress Collaborate with IEP teams and participate in planning meetings Supervise and guide a COTA assigned to assist with caseloads Adapt interventions for diverse educational environments Manage district-wide responsibilities while prioritizing efficiency and proximity of assignmentsBenefits & Perks:
