Job Description

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking for someone to work full-time as an Occupational Therapist at the San Marco Rehab. The position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401K retirement plan. The Occupational Therapist provides an evaluation and assessment, design a written plan of care, implementation and supervision of treatment programs and educational services.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday- FT/Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Evaluation and assessment of patients referred to the CENTER for occupational therapy needs. Formulation of specific care plans and goals for each patient relative to occupational therapy needs. With physician approval, implementation of the occupational therapy services defined in the patient care plans. Participate in plan of care reviews, patient case review conferences, patient assessment and reassessments. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities. Provide necessary education services of the patient and family members when appropriate. Adhere to the established policies and procedures of the CENTER. Participates in center in-service activities Assist in maintaining a clean facility, including physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep. Supervise, as needed, the administration of occupational therapy services by occupational therapy assistants. Supervise
OTR/COTA
therapy students as directed by the Clinical Site Coordinator. Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures. Assist the Site Coordinator as directed. Position Requirements Must be duly licensed in the State of Florida to practice occupational therapy. Hand therapist certification required. Graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum. Current CPR card. Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support. Demonstrated ability to carry out individually designed programs of occupational therapy treatment for patients. Demonstrated ability to deliver quality, effective patient care. Ability to perform duties in an efficient and independent manner with minimal supervision. Knowledge of federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements. Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Computer proficiency, including experience with medical software and EMR. Working Conditions Fast paced rehabilitation clinic. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. Requires normal hearing and eyesight to allow for patient interaction and processing of patient information. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds occasionally. Stand 2-3 Hours per Day Sit 4-5 Hours per Day Walk 1 Hour per Day
