Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on the lives of students across North and West Jacksonville by supporting their growth and development as a full-time Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced professionals ready to work on-site throughout the 2026-2027 school year, providing essential services in an itinerant capacity within a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapist license Prior experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred Willingness to support multiple school sites within the assigned regions Ability to manage diverse caseloads (age range and specific details to be confirmed) Flexibility and strong organizational skills for itinerant roles Completion or ability to complete Florida school district background check requirements, including fingerprinting and any necessary verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse Strong communication and collaboration abilities to partner with teachers, staff, students, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services on-site to students with varying needs, supporting their academic and functional success Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions, following individualized education programs and adapting strategies as needed Collaborate closely with students, teachers, and families to help generalize therapy recommendations into daily routines Travel to multiple schools as assigned, maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation Participate in IEP team meetings, providing professional insight into student progress and goals This role is actively interviewing on May 14th and 15th, so early application is encouraged for immediate consideration. The contract runs from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week.
