Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in Lake Wales, FL, offering a contract position supporting K-12 students. This role involves providing specialized pediatric OT services to enhance students' developmental and functional abilities within the school setting.
Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Florida Experience working with pediatric populations in schools Proficiency using assessment tools including PDMS (Peabody Developmental Motor Scales), BOT (Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency), and VMI (Visual-Motor Integration)

Approximately 38.75 hours per week, Monday through
Friday Caseload:
Serving K-12 students with diverse developmental needs
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess students' motor skills and functional abilities using standardized pediatric OT tools Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students' specific needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school guidelines Provide consultation and training to school staff as needed
