Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in the North and West areas of Jacksonville, FL! This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. You'll play an integral role in fostering student independence and development, collaborating closely with school teams across multiple sites in a dynamic, itinerant capacity. Your focus will be on the school-aged population; specific caseload details will be provided ahead of assignment. This on-site role (not open to teletherapy) starts August 10, 2026, running through May 28, 2027. Actively interviewing on May 14th and 15th—applicants should confirm their availability for those dates.
Key Qualifications:
Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Occupational Therapy license Experience providing OT services within school environments strongly preferred Comfortable managing itinerant schedules and working across multiple campuses Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, plan and implement therapeutic interventions for students Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in conjunction with educational teams Maintain detailed documentation and communicate progress to staff and families Travel between assigned schools, supporting staff and students as needed
Additional Requirements:
Completion of fingerprint clearance (prior prints may be verified and accepted if available through the AHCA Clearinghouse) Willingness to obtain a JLA badge (may take up to 10 business days following clearance) Take your skills on the road and make a difference in the lives of students and school communities.
