Occupational Therapist, OT - Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem, PRN The Lodge Health & Rehabilitation, Ocala, FL The Lodge Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our patients in an in-house subacute rehabilitation setting. The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients to assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs designed to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine their therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote recovery, independence, and enhanced daily functioning. Provide hands-on therapy and interventions aimed at improving patients; mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, and ability to perform daily activities (e.g., bathing, dressing, cooking). Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure optimal patient care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies for enhancing independence at home and in the community. Document and maintain accurate, timely patient records in accordance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines. Participate in in-service training, team meetings, and continuing education to stay current with industry trends and best practices. Qualifications:
Education:
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Licensure:
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Florida. Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in subacute, acute care, or rehabilitation. New graduates are also encouraged to apply. Skills & Abilities:
