Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pediatric Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will provide specialized occupational therapy services to pediatric patients we serve at a pediatric care facility. Typical diagnoses you will see there include TBI, Trach/vent, medically involved, and fine motor/developmental delays. Your expertise will help children develop essential skills to enhance their independence, participation, and overall quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through personalized therapy plans and collaborative care with our multi-disciplinary team of Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists and other Occupational Therapists. In addition, if full time work is your goal, we can supplement additional hours at our outpatient clinic located just 2 miles from the facility. Here you can use your skills to work with an entirely different range of diagnoses code utilizing different treatment strategies and approaches. This unique opportunity allows you to work in both an in-patient style setting and also an outpatient setting. Duties Assess pediatric patients' motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities to identify areas for improvement Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and grooming, to promote independence Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care strategies Conduct discharge planning by preparing families for ongoing therapy needs and community resources Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric development principles Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder and other developmental delays Proficiency in creating comprehensive care plans and case management strategies Skilled in assisting with ADLs and implementing therapeutic interventions for early intervention programs Familiarity with inpatient care environments such as ICU or acute care units is a plus Ability to coordinate discharge planning effectively for seamless patient transitions Experience in outpatient or clinic settings specializing in pediatrics or school-based therapy is highly desirable Knowledge of speech therapy coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration techniques Excellent communication skills for working with children, families, educators, and healthcare teams Join us in transforming pediatric healthcare by empowering children through innovative occupational therapy! Pay:
$45.00 - $53.00 per hour
