Occupational Therapist (School Based)

Saint Augustine, FL TYPE Direct Hire ID CA162-2750629 POSTED Feb 18, 2026 Join our dynamic team as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in Saint Augustine, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing students' abilities to perform daily activities and thrive in an educational setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing specialized therapy services tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations and create personalized treatment plans to improve students' fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and daily living activities. Implement therapy sessions focused on exercises for stretching, strengthening, and enhancing flexibility to restore joint motion and muscle strength. Assist students with developmental delays in achieving independence in daily tasks, such as dressing, toileting, and feeding. Address sensory processing and attention issues to improve focus and social interactions in the classroom environment. Support students with behavioral disorders in developing effective anger-management strategies and coping mechanisms. Assess and recommend specialized equipment, such as wheelchairs or communication aids, to meet students' unique needs.
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or Clinical Doctorate). Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to changing environments. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Proficient in documentation and report writing. Outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
