Category Schools•Orientation and Mobility Specialist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, supporting K-12 students in areas near Sanford and Oviedo. This position is perfect for travel professionals eager to provide meaningful compensatory services and direct therapy within a collaborative school environment. You'll help pave the way for students with visual impairments to develop essential navigation and orientation skills. Interview sessions begin April 27, 2026.
Key Qualifications:
National Orientation and Mobility Specialist (O&M / OMS) certification Valid Vision certification Active, valid driver's license Ability to provide a Social Security card, physical professional license (not digital), and complete all required fingerprinting and demographic documentation Experience working with diverse student groups, preferably across elementary and high school levels, is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct orientation and mobility therapy sessions to students from kindergarten through grade 12 Conduct evaluations as needed to tailor instruction and monitor student progress Collaborate with school teams to provide compensatory services and support individualized educational plans Adapt instruction for both summer camp and regular school-year schedules, working at multiple sites as assigned Maintain thorough documentation and communication with educational and administrative staff

School Year:
28 hours per week, Monday•Thursday, 7 hours per day
Summer Camp:
