This anticipated full-time position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering direct orientation and mobility instruction to students with visual impairments across various age groups (specific caseload details to be determined) Assessing individual needs, developing customized plans, and reporting on student progress Collaborating with school teams and families to maximize student independence and safety Traveling between assigned schools within the district, as needed Ideal candidates bring: National Orientation and Mobility Specialist certification and vision certification Experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred, though not required Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education processes Strong communication and organizational skills Readiness for a structured onboarding process, including district-specific credentialing steps On-site presence is required for this role.
