Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a PRN Occupational Therapist, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives across diverse settings. This flexible role offers the opportunity to work in inpatient hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, schools, and post-acute care environments. As an Occupational Therapist, you will utilize your skills to assess patient needs, develop personalized care plans, and support individuals in achieving their highest level of independence. Your energetic approach and dedication will help foster positive outcomes and enhance quality of life for a wide range of populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical and functional abilities, including assessments related to ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) and mobility. Develop tailored treatment plans that align with patient goals, medical conditions, and discharge timelines. Assist patients with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care strategies and discharge planning efforts. Work with individuals across various age groups—pediatrics in early intervention or school settings, adults in outpatient or clinic environments, and seniors in geriatrics or skilled nursing facilities. Apply your physiology knowledge and understanding of medical terminology to ensure accurate documentation and effective treatment interventions. Support case management activities by tracking progress, adjusting care plans as needed, and ensuring seamless patient care transitions. Requirements Valid occupational therapy license or certification in the relevant state or region. Proven experience working in inpatient hospital settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, or school environments. Familiarity with acute care environments such as ICU or inpatient units is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities across pediatric and adult populations. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to inform assessment and treatment strategies. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately and incorporate it into patient documentation. Demonstrated competence in developing effective care plans that include discharge planning and goal setting. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams, patients, families, and caregivers. Join us to empower patients through engaging therapy sessions that inspire progress! We are committed to supporting your professional growth while providing flexible scheduling options that fit your lifestyle. Whether you're passionate about pediatrics, geriatrics, post-acute care, or working within schools or outpatient clinics — this PRN occupational therapy role offers a vibrant environment where your skills truly shine!
