Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An outstanding opportunity awaits a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking a dynamic contract position serving students from PreK through high school. This full-time assignment, running the entire 2026-27 academic year, is based near Decatur, just a short drive south of Atlanta. If you thrive in a school environment and bring expertise in pediatric therapy or educational settings, your skills will be valued in fostering student growth and functional independence.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active Georgia Occupational Therapy license required Preferred background in pediatric or school-based therapy; home health or other healthcare OT experience also valuable Comfortable working with diverse student populations from PreK through high school Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities Ability to adapt to the unique challenges facing school-aged youth
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct therapy services and develop individualized treatment plans for students as assigned Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress Conduct assessments and IEP participation for students requiring occupational therapy interventions Monitor, track, and report on student outcomes and progress toward established goals Serve as a resource to school staff regarding strategies and accommodations Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as district policies This full-time role offers the satisfaction of making a tangible impact on young learners' lives, surrounded by a supportive team of education professionals.
