Whether working in inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health, or schools, you will deliver personalized therapy services that promote independence and improve quality of life. Responsibilities Assess patients' physical and functional abilities to develop effective treatment strategies. Implement therapy interventions focused on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills. Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to foster independence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings. Work with individuals with autism, disabilities, geriatrics, pediatrics, or those recovering from acute or post-acute conditions. Educate patients and caregivers on therapy exercises, safety precautions, and adaptive techniques. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, care plans, and case management activities aligned with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist in the respective state or region. Experience working in inpatient settings such as ICU or acute care units is highly preferred. Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, or school-based therapy is advantageous. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and the principles of speech therapy when applicable. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children with autism, individuals with disabilities, geriatrics, and those requiring early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients and families.
