Intermediate Job Description Join Hilo Benioff Medical Center and be part of a team that proudly cares for our friends, family, and neighbors across East Hawaiʻi. Occupational Therapists perform diagnostic assessments and prepare and implement treatment plans for the full range of cases coming within the scope of a program for the habilitation and rehabilitation of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Administers diagnostic evaluations, analyzes results, and develops individualized treatment plans with goals and timelines. Provides occupational therapy treatment, monitors patient progress, and adjusts care plans as needed. Collaborates with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, families, and outside agencies regarding patient care and progress. Supervises and trains occupational therapy aides, subprofessional staff, students, volunteers, and other healthcare personnel. Instructs patients in treatment procedures and conducts staff meetings, conferences, and in-service training programs. Maintains reports and records, manages treatment supplies and purchases, and assists with budget preparation and program planning

Licensed with the State of Hawaii as an Occupational Therapist (OT) at the time of appointment.

Applicants must have passed the Occupational Therapist national certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). 0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions assigned to 8 hour shifts. Accruals for these benefits are otherwise prorated based on FTE. Pre-Employment Health Requirements Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
