Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position that makes a difference in the lives of students by providing expert occupational therapy services within a dynamic school setting near Lewiston, ID. This contract opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, through June 9, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of a flexible 4-day workweek arrangement. Your caseload will consist of around 50 students, presenting a diverse range of sensory and fine motor needs. Work collaboratively with educators and possibly another occupational therapist, ensuring each student receives tailored support to achieve their educational goals.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state or able to obtain licensure by assignment start date Experience in schools, home health, teletherapy, and/or healthcare settings strongly preferred Previous exposure to caseload management involving sensory and fine motor challenges COTA experience within school environments is valued Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to thrive in a collaborative, student-centered setting
Role Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans Provide direct, evidence-based therapy to students as outlined in IEPs Partner with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and outcomes Contribute to IEP meetings and provide staff training when necessary Adapt strategies for a variety of learning styles and special needs
