Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group, and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care. Responsibilities The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the analysis and use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by physical injury or illness, pain, bodily malfunction, developmental disabilities, or the aging process in order to maximize independence, prevent disability and maintain health. The practice of occupational therapy encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation and education of patients as well as caregivers. Assumes responsibility for clinical competency and professional development Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops and implements a Plan of Care Completes effective, professional and timely documentation Educates patients, families, caregivers and team members Works in the acute care setting treating a variety of diagnosesQualifications Job Requirements:
Current Idaho State Occupational Therapist license. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Preferred Job Requirements:
One year of prior OT experience CurrentNBCOT OT
