Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary and middle school students during an FMLA coverage assignment. This full-time onsite contract runs from early August through mid-October, perfectly timed to align with the school year and offer a meaningful impact in a dynamic educational environment. Bring your expertise in school-based OT practice to a community that values collaboration and continued professional growth. The assignment includes working with students in both resource and self-contained settings, helping them achieve their goals for greater independence and school participation. What we're looking for: Current Occupational Therapist license and credentials for school settings Prior experience in elementary and/or middle school environments Strong understanding of assessments, IEP processes, and school therapy documentation Effective collaboration skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Enthusiasm for working with diverse student needs in resource and self-contained classrooms Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development Role responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with student IEPs and school goals Conduct assessments and use provided testing materials to guide intervention Document progress and communicate effectively with team members and families Participate in monthly meetings, roundtables, and regular 1:1 check-ins with leadership Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance service delivery Engage in orientation programs, including a "Buddy Program" designed to ease your transition Collaborate via a regional intranet platform for real-time support and idea exchange This assignment provides everything you need to succeed: easy access to a discipline-specific supervisor, a thorough orientation, professional development opportunities, and an environment that values your input.
