Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make an impact supporting students of varying ages by providing occupational therapy services across two school sites during the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract role consists of 37.5 hours per week, following a school-based schedule, and offers the unique opportunity to work with both elementary and high school-aged students. You'll contribute your expertise to general education, resource, and some self-contained special education classrooms, collaborating closely with educators and families in a supportive environment. Travel during the school day is not required, as each day is dedicated to one site. Interviews are currently being conducted virtually.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois Prior pediatric or school-based experience preferred Skill in sensory integration techniques and supporting students' functional goals Experience documenting progress and developing student-driven outcomes Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Provide assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions to students in both general and special education settings Facilitate sensory and functional skill development for students with diverse abilities Consult with teachers and staff to support student success and access to curricula Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines
