Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a school setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This fully contracted role is designed for passionate professionals who excel in helping students reach their fullest potential. With a commitment of approximately 15 hours per week, you'll enjoy focused, flexible work while contributing to the success of a dynamic educational environment.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Illinois Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within school settings Familiarity with school-based therapy best practices and IEP processes Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for multidisciplinary teamwork Ability to manage and adapt to diverse caseloads (specific assignments will be determined prior to start)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop effective strategies for student success Assess student needs, document progress, and adjust therapeutic approaches as needed Attend IEP meetings and contribute professional insights for student development Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state requirements
