Job Summary:

Provide in-person occupational therapy services in a school district, supporting students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills required for academic performance and daily school activities.

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to school-based students Evaluate students for fine motor, sensory, and functional needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Deliver individual and group therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents Participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews Maintain accurate documentation and compliance reports Support handwriting, motor coordination, and daily living skills development Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications Ensure compliance with school district and state requirements

Requirements:

Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required (in hand prior to start) Prior school-based OT experience required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required Strong knowledge of IEP and special education processes Ability to work in-person (no remote option) Strong communication and collaboration skills Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills Comfortable working with pediatric populations Ability to manage caseload independently
