This travel position offers an engaging mix of patient care, travel, and administrative duties, designed for an OT who values autonomy and thorough patient coaching.

Responsibilities:

Provide 4-5 patient visits per day, emphasizing orthopedics and deconditioning rehabilitation. Coach patients on essential life skills including bathing, cooking, and dressing to promote independence and home safety. Manage chronic swelling cases, with preference for those skilled in lymphedema treatment. Serve pediatric patients alongside adult care, demonstrating flexibility and inclusivity regardless of patient age. Collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA), providing supervisory visits and documentation as required. Utilize web-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for scheduling, charting, and coordination via iPads. Attend occasional on-site office visits to complete administrative tasks and team meetings. Maintain excellent organizational skills to manage patient care documentation and remote meetings via fax or electronic communication.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Licensed Occupational Therapist eligible to practice in the state. Experience with orthopedic and deconditioned populations preferred. Background in lymphedema care is a strong asset. Comfort working with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics. Proficient with web-based EMRs and technology such as iPads. Strong organizational and communication skills. New graduates may be considered, but preference given to experienced therapists.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 72 hours per pay period
