School-Based Assignment | SPED Cooperative Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a collaborative Special Education Cooperative serving the Mattoon, Dieterich, and Cumberland school communities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' functional independence and participation in their educational environment. The ideal candidate will provide evaluation, treatment planning, and therapy services tailored to each student's individualized needs while partnering closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Key Responsibilities
- + Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students + Develop individualized plans of care aligned with student goals and educational outcomes + Deliver direct and consultative OT services across assigned school sites + Provide OT-R supervision based in Mattoon and additional supervision support in Dieterich and Cumberland + Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress + Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines + Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insight to team decision-making •Minimum Requirements•+ Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice + One (1) year of professional OT experience preferred (school-based experience a plus) + Adherence to all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR certification, if applicable + TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray) as required + Current health certificate in accordance with contract or state regulations + Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age •Ideal Location•Candidates residing in or near the Mattoon/Charleston area will be well-positioned for this assignment, given the geographic distribution of the schools and supervision responsibilities.
