Occupational Therapist School Setting in Cicero, IL

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support and services in a school setting. This contract position is based in Cicero, IL, and will cover the remainder of the school year. The role involves working closely with students, educators, and support staff to help children develop the skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate students' occupational therapy needs within the school environment Develop and implement individual treatment plans tailored to students' unique needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Document and monitor student progress regularly, adjusting interventions as needed Assist with accommodations and modifications to help students access the curriculum fully Participate in meetings and provide professional recommendations during Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Qualifications:

Valid Occupational Therapist license and credentials appropriate for school settings Experience working as an OT in school environments preferred Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and school-based interventions Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work full time through the remainder of the school year
