School Occupational Therapist | Cortland, Illinois Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Cortland, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $27.14 - $68.00 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic school-based role where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist will make a daily impact on students' lives. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll support K-12 students throughout the upcoming 26/27 academic year, providing essential OT services in a collaborative and enriching educational environment near DeKalb, IL. This contract position is an excellent opportunity to expand your professional experience with diverse student needs across multiple grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (IL OT License required) School-based OT experience preferred, but strong healthcare OTs encouraged to apply Ability to build rapport with students ranging from Kindergarten through high school Collaborative communicator who enjoys working alongside teachers, specialists, and families Strong assessment, documentation, and time management skills
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students in grades K-12 Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support plans Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain detailed documentation Consult with school staff to adapt classroom environments for student success Provide training and recommendations to parents, teachers, and support teams Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning atmosphere
