Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity impacting students' lives and supporting their growth and development as a School Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). We're seeking three enthusiastic professionals to provide occupational therapy services across a flexible, student-centered environment. This is the chance to work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff in fostering students' independence and success.
Open Opportunities:
Position 1 : Lake in the Hills — 20 students, 15 hours per week Position 2 : Morton Grove — 20 students, 15 hours per week Position 3 : Rockford — Caseload TBD, 15 hours per week
What You'll Contribute:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services tailored to school-aged students Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that promote participation in daily school activities Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including special education staff and families Document progress, complete reports, and participate in IEP meetings Utilize creative strategies and interventions to enhance student engagement and skill development Support students' functional independence within classroom and school settings Stay current with best practices and educational regulations related to OT services
Desired Background:
Hold a valid OT or COTA license for the state of Illinois Prior experience in school-based or pediatric therapy settings preferred Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and families Effective organization, adaptability, and time-management abilities Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments This contract position invites you to make a meaningful impact through flexible hours and a collaborative atmosphere, all while working within a diverse and supportive school community.
