Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embrace a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood students in a dynamic, inclusive environment. This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) spans the upcoming academic year, running from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027. You'll work closely with both blended and self-contained classrooms, making an impact on young learners' ability to participate meaningfully in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities Adapt tasks and the physical environment to suit individual student needs Conduct thorough diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed Prepare and communicate detailed reports grounded in assessments and direct classroom observations Develop, implement, and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations for students Build strong relationships through consistent collaboration and communication with parents and school colleagues to monitor developmental achievement and support
Qualifications:
Eligible for or currently hold an Illinois state occupational therapy license Proficient communicator with collaborative team skills Flexible, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to student growth Enjoy a welcoming start with paid orientation, a stable full-time schedule, and competitive pay based on your experience ($45 to $55 per hour).
