Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Occupational Therapist - School Setting (Hampshire, IL) An opportunity is available for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide full-time or part-time school-based therapy services for elementary-aged students, including those in resource and self-contained classrooms. This contract position offers meaningful work supporting student development within an engaging educational environment.
Location:
Hampshire, Illinois Schedule:
Full-time (37.5 hours/week) with part-time candidates also considered
Contract Duration:
ASAP through May 29, 2026 (possibility of extension) Responsibilities include: Delivering individualized OT services aligned with students' educational goals Collaborating with educators and support staff to enhance student participation in school activities Utilizing available equipment and assessment tools to evaluate and plan therapy Participating in regular team meetings, roundtable discussions, and professional development opportunities Engaging in ongoing communication with supervisors and colleagues via in-person and digital platforms Contributing to process improvements that promote best practices and efficient service delivery
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed Occupational Therapist certified in Illinois (COTA candidates will not be considered) Experience working with elementary school-aged children, including those in resource/self-contained settings Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to professional growth with willingness to engage in training and peer mentorship
