Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a contract occupational therapist working onsite in a vibrant school-based setting. You'll start with a comprehensive orientation on August 3 and 4, 2026, before engaging with students from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
Three unique positions are available:
two full-time assignments (30 or 37.5 hours weekly, serving elementary and middle school students), and an FMLA coverage opportunity focused on elementary-age students from August 31 to October 27, 2026.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with school-based experience or interest in pediatric populations Skilled in assessment, intervention planning, and delivering therapy services in educational environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptable and eager to work within a team Commitment to fostering student development and independence
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services onsite Participate in student evaluations, IEP/504 meetings, and ongoing progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow therapists to optimize student success Utilize available assessment tools and materials for interventions Attend monthly meetings, roundtables, and regular check-ins with leadership Engage in process improvement to strengthen best practice school OT services Pursue ongoing professional development through provided courses and performance feedback Participate in collaborative "Buddy Program" and leverage a supportive intranet community for real-time problem solving
