Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Occupational Therapist - School-Based, Naperville, IL (Contract) This full-time (37.5 hours/week) school-based occupational therapy opportunity in Naperville, IL is ideal for licensed OTs passionate about supporting elementary-aged students. This contract role is available ASAP through May 29, 2026, with the possibility of extension. Part-time candidates are also welcome to apply. You will work primarily with elementary students in both resource and self-contained settings, delivering targeted OT services to meet diverse needs. Only Illinois-certified OTs are considered for this position; COTA applicants are not eligible.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide school-based occupational therapy to elementary students, supporting development and independence Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary team members to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Utilize available equipment and testing tools to evaluate student progress and adapt interventions Engage in monthly team meetings, roundtable discussions, and 1:1 check-ins for continuous professional development Participate in annual performance reviews and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois OT licensure Experience working with elementary-aged students in school-based settings preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with educators, supervisors, and families Enthusiasm for professional growth, utilizing available resources and support programs
