Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students in kindergarten through second grade on a contract basis. This rewarding position, located near Orland Park, IL, lets you work collaboratively within school settings to ensure students receive essential therapy services that promote their academic and personal growth.
Key Qualifications:
Active OT or COTA license in Illinois Experience with school-based OT services, ideally supporting K-2-aged children Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage both individual and consult caseloads Passion for fostering developmental and educational progressWhat You'll Do:
Deliver occupational therapy services for a diverse caseload, including 37 students in self-contained settings (3 consult only) and 26 students in general education (11 consult only) Assess, develop, and implement therapy plans tailored to students' unique needs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to maximize student outcomes Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Adapt therapy approaches to meet both consult and direct service needs Engage in team meetings and contribute insights toIEPs Position Highlights:
