Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of elementary and middle school students as a contracted Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year, working onsite in a supportive and resource-rich educational setting. The position begins August 3, 2026 (with students returning August 17), and continues through May 28, 2027. This is a full-time opportunity—37.5 hours per week—serving a diverse range of learners in both self-contained and resource classrooms. Your expertise will be valued and enhanced through:
What We're Looking For:
Valid Occupational Therapy license for school-based practice (Illinois credentials preferred) Experience with school-age children is a plus, especially in educational or clinical settings Readiness to provide therapy, support IEP goals, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills Enthusiasm for learning, growth, and creative problem-solvingWhat You'll Do:
Deliver individualized and group OT services to elementary and middle school students Design and implement interventions that foster student independence and participation Work closely with teachers and support staff, sharing strategies and progress Participate actively in IEP meetings, documentation, and student evaluations Access a supportive supervisor in your discipline for everyday guidance and mentorship Utilize equipment and comprehensive testing materials provided for your assessments and interventionsProfessional Perks:
