School Occupational Therapist - Rockford, Illinois ProCare Therapy - 3.9 Rockford, IL Job Details Full-time | Contract $34.46 - $64.46 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Master's degree Occupational Therapy License Full Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity near Rockford, IL, as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting students across two school sites. You'll collaborate with diverse student populations, providing essential OT services during the regular school schedule. This role offers the flexibility to work with your preferred age group—early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school—with specific caseloads determined during the interview process. Onsite schedules are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with no midday travel between sites.
Desired Qualifications:
Current, active Illinois license as an Occupational Therapist Experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations preferred Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and ability to establish and progress student therapy goals Confidence supporting general and self-contained special education classrooms Strong organizational and collaboration skills with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students as assigned, adapting support for varying needs and developmental levels Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes aligned with education goals Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing OT expertise to individualized educational planning Liaise between classroom teachers, staff, and parents, sharing strategies and progress updates Rotate between two campuses, focusing on one school daily for consistent student engagement
