Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting early childhood learners within a vibrant educational environment near Schaumburg, IL. As a full-time occupational therapy professional, you will dedicate 37.5 hours each week, from August 3, 2026, through May 20, 2027, working alongside a passionate team of educators and specialists. Utilize your expertise in school-based OT or COTA to design and deliver targeted interventions that empower young children to fully participate in classroom routines.
Your responsibilities will include:
Promoting student success by supporting fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care within blended and self-contained early childhood classrooms Adapting classroom tasks or the learning environment to accommodate individual student needs Completing diagnostic and evaluation assessments to guide educational planning Preparing detailed and insightful reports following student assessments and observations Developing, tracking, and updating IEP objectives and accommodations for students Engaging with parents and educational staff to discuss progress and determine next steps for support To excel in this role, you should have: An Illinois state OT license or eligibility to obtain one Collaborative spirit, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student and classroom needs Enjoy a supportive workplace culture that values your growth and experience.
