Your expertise will help children improve their daily living skills, foster independence, and achieve their fullest potential. Duties Assess children's motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop personalized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skills, and sensory integration. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. Assist children with disabilities or developmental delays in achieving milestones through targeted therapy sessions. Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support ongoing development at home and in community settings. Conduct discharge planning by evaluating progress and determining readiness for transition or continued therapy needs. Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and case management records in compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist with specialization or experience in pediatrics. Proven experience working with children in various settings such as outpatient clinics, schools, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric development principles. Experience assisting with ADLs and working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities. Familiarity with discharge planning, case management, and creating effective care plans tailored to individual needs. Ability to work effectively in acute care settings such as hospitals or ICU environments when needed.
