Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives by applying your Occupational Therapy expertise in a supportive educational environment! This contract position provides Occupational Therapists the opportunity to work closely with dedicated staff and diverse students, using evidence-based techniques to foster both academic success and personal growth.
Required Background and Skills:
A current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state Experience delivering OT services within a school or pediatric setting Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school teams Skilled in assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring Proficiency in adapting strategies to accommodate various learning and physical needs Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Duties:
Conduct thorough evaluations to determine students' functional and developmental needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and targeted interventions Collaborate with educators and parents to ensure a coordinated approach for each child Document services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies and regulations Support students in developing skills related to fine motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care, and school participation Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise during IEP development
