Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary-aged students with occupational therapy services in a dynamic school setting near Elkhart, IN. This full-time role is perfect for a skilled OT who thrives working onsite and is passionate about helping young learners build essential skills for classroom and daily success. The assignment kicks off on August 10, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, offering the opportunity to make a real difference throughout the academic year.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state Experience providing OT services to elementary school students preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families Comfort and interest in working onsite in a school environment Knowledge of educational documentation and compliance standards
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to support students' educational goals Develop targeted treatment plans tailored to each student's needs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive and supportive learning environments Monitor progress, document sessions, and maintain compliance with district and state regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Educate staff and families about strategies and accommodations to maximize student independence Enjoy a schedule that follows the school calendar, allowing for true engagement with your students over the course of the year.
