Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract assignment as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade while providing maternity leave coverage. This part-time position begins in mid-August, for at least 12 weeks with potential for extension, and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact in an educational setting near Franklin, IN.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state (or eligibility to obtain prior to start) Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred Strong understanding of school-based OT practices and documentation Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams, teachers, families, and students Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students Deliver direct therapy services, both individual and group sessions, per IEP requirements Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress updates Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for all student services Offer consultation and strategies to teachers and parents to support student participation Adapt and modify activities, materials, or environments to facilitate student success in the school setting
