Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting elementary-aged students in a dynamic school environment near Mishawaka and Elkhart, IN. This full-time role runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and is ideal for professionals passionate about enhancing student growth in an onsite setting. Make a direct impact by helping children develop essential daily living and academic skills within a supportive community.
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Indiana Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred Familiarity with school-based therapy and IEP processes Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse needs and learning styles Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary students as outlined in their IEPs Assess, document, and regularly report on student progress and goals Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to implement effective interventions Participate in meetings, evaluations, and the development of individualized plans Offer guidance and resources to promote students' motor, sensory, social, and self-care skills within the classroom Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with school and state requirements
