Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' development and independence as a School Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This engaging role provides coverage for a maternity leave beginning mid-August and extends for 12 weeks—with the possibility of continuing further. Located near Mooresville, IN, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students, working collaboratively with a passionate educational team. This part-time schedule offers 3.5 days per week (totaling 24.5 hours), allowing you to balance your professional goals with your personal life. You'll step into a nurturing environment focused on student growth and well-being.
Qualifications & Skills:
Licensed Occupational Therapist with required state credentials Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings preferred Proficiency in adapting therapeutic interventions to individual student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff Ability to complete timely documentation and contribute to IEP planning
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students as part of an interdisciplinary team Assess students' functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care routines integral to school participation Maintain accurate records and progress reports in line with school and state guidelines Collaborate with teachers and families to enhance student success within the classroom environment
