Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Elevate students' access to learning and growth with an opportunity supporting elementary campuses as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Kansas City, KS area. This assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, with your expertise reaching five elementary campuses. As details of the student caseload are finalized by the district, you'll be at the forefront of school-based occupational therapy, making a direct impact on children's development and independence.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current OT licensure in Kansas, or eligibility for state licensure
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience is highly valued
Ability to collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide screenings, assessments, and direct therapy to students across multiple elementary campuses
Develop and update individualized intervention plans based on student needs
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into the classroom
Maintain accurate records and progress notes as required by school and district policy
Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal development, and progress reporting
