Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Elevate students' access to learning and growth with an opportunity supporting elementary campuses as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Kansas City, KS area. This assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, with your expertise reaching five elementary campuses. As details of the student caseload are finalized by the district, you'll be at the forefront of school-based occupational therapy, making a direct impact on children's development and independence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current OT licensure in Kansas, or eligibility for state licensure
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Previous pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams, teachers, and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide screenings, assessments, and direct therapy to students across multiple elementary campuses
- Develop and update individualized intervention plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy into the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes as required by school and district policy
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal development, and progress reporting
