Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled part-time Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients recover from injuries and improve their physical abilities. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with students in grades K-12 to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and re-evaluations of students to assess their needs for related services.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and corresponding IEP goals to address the needs of students with disabilities.
- Coordinate with the IEP teacher of authority and contribute to the development of the Individual Education Plan.
- Implement treatment plans using a variety of techniques appropriate to the needs of students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of the provision of services and progress monitoring of IEP goals and objectives in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Report student progress through the timely development of IEP progress reports using the Louisiana eSER system.
- Educate school staff, students, and their families, on strategies and techniques that can be implemented to support student growth and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (preferred) in Occupational Therapy
- Current Louisiana license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience administering assessments to identify student needs and providing written reports
- Ability to meet compliance deadlines
- Experience providing school-based occupational therapy
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
